Returning the car is simple as long as you respect the contract conditions and hand the vehicle back in good order.
- Return the fuel at the same level as collection.
- You have a 15-minute grace period on return. If you need more time, contact the office in advance.
- Normal use does not incur a cleaning charge. Excessive sand, mud, smoke smell or heavy dirt may attract an additional fee.
- Keys are your responsibility. If lost or damaged, contact Autos Valls immediately.

07 — Common mistakesWhat goes wrong when hiring a car at Menorca Airport
Most problems at collection or return come down to one thing: not reading the conditions before booking.
If your flight is delayed and we have no record of it, your handover may be affected.
SUVs, automatics and people carriers sell out 3–4 weeks ahead in July and August.
The standard rate includes a deposit blocked on your card. If you are not expecting it, it can come as a surprise at the desk.
Without prior check-in, collection takes longer and the Click&Go service is not available.
The policy is full-to-full. Returning below the collection level incurs an additional charge.
A photo on your phone is not valid. Without the physical document the car will not be handed over.

Only at the point of collection, before signing the contract. The cost is €4.50 per day per additional driver, unless your rate already includes it.
Can I extend my hire while in Menorca?
Yes, but you must contact us before your contract expires and obtain authorisation. Extra days are charged at that point. The blocked deposit cannot be used to cover the extension.
Can I take the car to another island?
No. Taking the vehicle off Menorca without written authorisation from Autos Valls voids the insurance. All resulting costs are the driver's responsibility.
Can I cancel my booking if plans change?
Yes. Cancellations made more than 96 hours in advance receive a full refund minus a €25 administration fee. Cancellations within 96 hours are non-refundable, except in documented cases of force majeure.
